Quality Management Policy

  • Provide quality solutions that meet all Customer requirements and needs at the lowest cost, promoting their continuous satisfaction and our competitive advantage.

Environment, Health and Safety Policy

  • Assess the environmental impact of our activities, reduce the use of natural resources and the volume of solid waste produced by taking the necessary actions to prevent pollution;
  • Identify and assess hazards and risks, defining the necessary controls to prevent the occurrence of injuries and health affections and improvement of the H&S performance;
  • Periodically review our management system in order to fulfill the commitment to continuous improvement based on the ISO 14001, the applicable legislation and other requirements to which the organization subscribes;
  • Promote training and the dissemination of good practices on the environment and safety;
  • Communicate the policy to all employees, leaving it available to the consultation of suppliers/ subcontractors and the general public.

Commitment to Chain of Custody Responsibility

Bi-silque group is committed to implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving a Forest Responsibility Chain of Custody Management System, committing itself not to acquire wood from controversial sources, namely from:

  • Forest areas where civil or traditional rights are violated;
  • Forest areas with high conservation values, threatened by forest management activities;
  • Genetically modified trees (GMO);
  • Forest areas illegally exploited;
  • Forest areas resulting from the conversion of natural forests into plantations or non-forest uses.

Additionally the Bi-silque group commits to:

  • Ensure compliance with the legislation applicable to the activity and other regulations and policies subscribed voluntarily;
  • Comply with social requirements for health and safety at work as defined in the ILO declaration of fundamental principles and rights at work.

Research, Development and Innovation Policy

The Management of Bi-Silque SGPS believes that continuous improvement and integrated management of innovation are essential tools to ensure the differentiation and sustainability of brands and of the Organization, as well as to improve the profitability of products and solutions and our business continuity.

In this sense, it commits to maintain an innovation process aligned with the principles and requirements of Standard NP4457, continuously monitoring and improving the effectiveness of the RDI management system.

Our business and supply chains

Bi-silque is a global provider of visual communication solutions across a broad range of geographic and vertical markets. We are worldwide recognized as specialists in the Office Products Industry and maintain long lasting partnerships with its main players. Further information on the BI-silque business can be found at www.bisilque.com. All of Bi-silque Group employees are based in Europe and the US.

Our supply chain consists of:

  • Suppliers and manufacturers of engineering and electronics products, materials, components and services;
  • Logistic operations and transports services;
  • Machinery and maintenance contractors;
  • Subcontractors for regulatory, advisory and product development services;
  • Support and professional service providers.

In this sense, it commits to maintain an innovation process aligned with the principles and requirements of Standard NP4457, continuously monitoring and improving the effectiveness of the RDI management system.

Our policies and procedures

Bi-silque has a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking of any kind within our businesses or supply chains. Our internal policies reflect our commitment to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relations and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place. These include:

  • Governance structure: We are committed to the highest principles of personal and professional conduct which includes a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery. Bi-silque Group is led by our Chairman who also leads the Board which is the main governance body of Bi-silque Group. The Board is responsible for ensuring that there is a satisfactory process in place to manage strategic, risk management, ethical and corporate social responsibility issues including modern slavery.
  • Whistleblowing:Our whistleblowing strategy applies to everyone working within Bi-silque Group including employees, contractors and other third parties acting on behalf of Bi-silque Group. This policy provides a mechanism for the reporting of concerns about suspected wrongdoing or dangers at work, including slavery and human trafficking violations, without fear of reprisals and it forms part of Bi-silque mandatory training for all employees.
  • Training: To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery in our business, all new employees receive training on modern slavery as part of the induction process. This training refers directly to this statement and makes clear that any concerns should to be reported to HR Department and/ or to the Group Board.
  • Recruitment and employment practices:
    • Our recruitment procedures include mandatory documentation checks to ensure that all employees are over the local legal age and eligible to work in the applicable territory.
    • As part of our recruitment policies and procedures, we only use reputable recruitment firms and comply with all relevant local laws and regulations.
    • We review market related pay and rewards on an ongoing basis.
    • We implement initiatives to support our personnel physical and mental wellbeing and stress.
    • We are committed to fair employment practices of our staff.
  • Approved suppliers: We operate approved suppliers lists for technical service providers and product/equipment suppliers. All approved suppliers are subject to due diligence checks and regular reviews. We foster long-tern relationships with approved suppliers, and we do not make demands nor issue instructions to suppliers that might lead to them violating human rights. Regular visits are carried out to key suppliers and subcontractors’ sites.
  • Risk assessments: We recognize that certain jurisdictions, sectors and services are considered high risk and therefore all such transactions are reviewed by the Executive Board who consider the risk and any mitigation required before approval is granted to proceed.

Ongoing assessment

Due to the nature of our business and the locations and sectors in which we operate, the Board considers that there is a very low risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. However, we will continue to review our approach and the effectiveness of our policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
